Okay, I know it's been forever, but I am kind of stumped on where to take this group, activity wise & socially. I've been thinking of having someone take charge of activities and planning events. Someone(s) that can move this group forward, because I still think it's a good group. The art that is still being uploaded to it is great :D we just need some events and participation.

But, this journal is really just a quick shout out to the new DeviantHeart! [link] I had seen the name in passing,but didn't read/know anything about it till just now. And I was honestly shocked. lol But I do think it's a fun, quick way to just check out other artist on here; whether for social reasons or just plain interesting art.

So if you get a chance, check it out.

Code of ConductSince the main idea behind our group is getting to know others better, I will just briefly go over how members should treat each other.

That is, with respect. I myself don't get why people tend to be rude, fowl-mouthed or trolls online...or in person...so please, unless it's a character in a story you are submitting, type respectfully.

As somewhat of a singles group: "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" and "Treat others as you would want to be treated."

I'm here to go over the Gallery Folder, Meet A Member. In this folder each member may submit one piece that focuses on themselves. For example:

It could be some form of self-portrait. Whether it's a true to life creation or an abstract work of art. It could be a simple photo of yourself. Name poems are always nice. Or maybe a free verse poem that describes you. It can be anything, as long as you are the focus.

This section will be like a profile list; something that helps others know a little bit about you. It's not required you submit something to this folder! But if you do decided to, then take your time with it, bMeet-A-Member Guidelines by ~lmkiture
Contest and Game GuidelinesIndividual Contest & Games will be announced via Journal entries, and the rules for Games will be listed within a deviation in the Contest Game Folder. DONEMy boyfriend and I seen the movie The Avengers in theatres and bought it the first day it came out as well. We really enjoy all the different super hero movies before it too.
So I bought some points and had him help me come up with an idea for a contest.

The contest starts Oct. 25th 2012, and ends Nov. 30th 2012 at 5:00pm (Eastern time).

There are two categories: The Team and Character.

The Prizes are:
200pts and a llama for First place.
100pts and a llama for Second place.
50pts and a llama for third place

I'm sure some of you have heard of and/or played this simple game, but it sure can be fun! It's the Finish the Story game! If you don't know how to play, in short, I'll begin a story and you add onto it. :D And here's the beginning:

        Branches quivered in the late autumn breeze, and as the days became shorter it became more dangerous to travel past sundown. The moon raised high into the sky, only its milky glow gave cause for shadows, and the small town grew silent. People hurried into their homes and snuffed out torches, but the silence was soon permeated by the sound of heavy footsteps along the crude dirt road. Hmmm darling? If you're going to be snappy, nippy, or rude in general you should take it elsewhere. Just a fair warning, this group is a casual little corner for it's members and an overall fun place to chill out with the occasional non-demanding group events or chats.

Sorry, that you are unhappy with the group. As I am new to running a group, I may have different ways of running it than most. I have put the settings on our gallery for members to submit work freely, to the appropriate section. If your work was declined it wasn't in any offense. If you'd like to submit freely, you are welcome to join the group. Of course, since you live in a free country no ones forcing you too.
